Privacy policy
How this website collects, uses and discloses personal information — and, just as importantly, what it does not collect.

1. Who this policy covers
San Diego CCTV Pros is a DBA (a trading name) of Guardian Integrated Security, Inc.. There is one legal entity behind both names, and Guardian Integrated Security, Inc. is the data controller for this website. This policy is adapted from Guardian's privacy notice and covers sandiegocctvpros.com and the forms and contact routes on it.
This site is hosted in the United States and is subject to U.S. state and federal law. If you are accessing it from another jurisdiction, please be aware that you are transferring your personal information to us in the United States, and by using the site you are agreeing to that transfer and to the use of your personal information in accordance with this policy. You also agree to abide by the applicable laws of the State of California and U.S. federal law concerning your use of the site.
2. What this site collects
There are only two ways this website receives information about you.
Information you send us through the contact form
When you fill in the enquiry form, you are voluntarily giving us the details you type into it — typically your name, your email address, your phone number, your company or site, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer your enquiry and to arrange a site survey or quote. We ask for no more than that, and there is no field on this site asking for payment details, identity documents or any special category of personal information.
The form is processed by Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form provider acting as our processor. Your submission is transmitted to Formspree at https://formspree.io/f/xgaeyogg and forwarded to us by email. Formspree therefore handles the contents of your message in the course of delivering it, and its own privacy policy applies to what it does on its systems. We do not sell that information and we do not use it for advertising.
Information your browser sends automatically
Like any website, this one is delivered by a web server that necessarily sees the ordinary technical details of your request: your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your browser type and operating system, the page you asked for and the page you came from. This site is a static site served through Cloudflare Pages, so Cloudflare processes those requests on our behalf and applies its standard security and bot-protection measures.
As part of that, Cloudflare may set a single strictly necessary cookie — __cf_bm — which distinguishes automated traffic from real visitors. It is short-lived, cannot be read by scripts on the page, and is not used to profile you or to target advertising. It is the only cookie this site is expected to set on its own.
Google Maps on the location pages. Our location pages embed a Google Maps map of the area they describe. The map does not load until you press "Show the map", and nothing is sent to Google before then. Once it loads, Google Maps may set cookies and receive information about your visit under Google's own privacy policy, which we do not control. The map is optional; every location page works without it.
3. What this site does not do
This is worth stating plainly instead of burying in generic language about choices you do not actually have to make here. As of the date at the top of this page:
- There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no alternative analytics package, no heatmaps, no session recording. We do not measure your visit.
- There are no tracking pixels and no advertising cookies. No Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no remarketing or retargeting tags, and no third-party advertising network is present.
- There are no social-media plugins or social login. Nothing on this site connects to a social network account or loads a social network's script.
- There are no user accounts and no logins. There is nothing to register for and no password to keep.
- There is no e-commerce and no payment processing. You cannot buy anything here, and no payment card details are collected, transmitted or stored by this site.
- There is no mobile app, no push notification and no SMS programme operating from this website.
If any of this changes — if analytics is added, for instance — this policy will be updated to say so, and the date at the top of the page will change with it.
4. How we use and disclose information
We use what you send us to respond to you, to prepare a quote or proposal, to schedule and carry out a site survey, and to keep records of our dealings with you as a customer or prospective customer.
Contractors, and third-party sites we do not control
We contractually prohibit our contractors, affiliates, vendors and suppliers from disclosing any personal information received from us, other than in accordance with this policy. This site links to third-party websites that we neither own nor control, and this policy does not apply to personal information provided to or gathered by the third parties that operate them. Before visiting a third party or providing any personal information to it, you should inform yourself of that third party's own privacy policies and practices.
When we may disclose information
When we believe disclosure is appropriate, we may disclose your information:
- To help investigate, prevent or take other action regarding illegal activity, suspected fraud or other wrongdoing.
- To protect and defend the rights, property or safety of the company, our users, our employees or others.
- To comply with applicable law or cooperate with law enforcement.
- To enforce our terms or other agreements or policies.
- In response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency.
- To establish or exercise our legal rights.
- To defend against legal claims.
- Or as otherwise required by law.
In such cases we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us. We will notify you if permitted before undertaking such disclosures.
We reserve the right to transfer all information in our possession to a successor organisation in the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or other sale of all or a portion of our assets. Other than to the extent ordered by a bankruptcy or other court, the use and disclosure of all transferred information will remain subject to this policy, or to a new privacy notice if you are given notice of that new notice and an opportunity to affirmatively opt out of it.
5. Security
We take the security of your personal information seriously and use reasonable electronic, personnel and physical measures to protect it from loss, theft, alteration or misuse. This site is served only over HTTPS. However, please be advised that even the best security measures cannot fully eliminate all risks. We cannot guarantee that only authorised persons will view your personal information, and we are not responsible for third-party circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures.
6. California privacy rights
"Shine the Light" law. California Civil Code Section 1798.83, known as the "Shine the Light" law, permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about the personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, that information would include a list of the categories of personal information shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to the address in section 10.
7. Do-Not-Track
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal, this site does not respond to DNT browser signals or mechanisms. In practice this site does not track you across websites in any case — see section 3.
8. Governing law
Disputes over privacy issues contained in this policy will be governed by the law of the State of California. You also agree to abide by any limitation on damages contained in any other agreement that we have with you.
9. Changes to this policy
We may, at our discretion, change this policy from time to time. Any and all changes will be reflected on this page, and the date of the new version will be stated at the top of it. Unless stated otherwise, our current policy applies to all personal information that we hold about you. Please check this page from time to time for any changes.
10. How to contact us
If you have a question about this policy, or you want to make a request about your personal information, contact us by any of the routes below. A request in writing to the registered address is the surest record.

About this policy. It is adapted from the Guardian Integrated Security privacy notice, which governs because San Diego CCTV Pros is a DBA of Guardian Integrated Security, Inc. Sections describing services this website does not offer — analytics and advertising cookies, social login, mobile applications, push notifications and SMS — have been removed, not reproduced, because they do not describe this site. Sections 4 through 9 keep Guardian's wording substantially intact.
