Commercial security by problem

Start from what is actually going wrong

Most people do not call a security contractor wanting a camera. They call because stock keeps disappearing, the same wall gets painted every month, or nobody will open the building alone. These pages start from the problem, say what the sourced data does and does not show, and only then get to equipment. Commercial premises only.

The problems

What businesses call us about

Each page sets out the problem as the buyer experiences it, what the primary data actually says about it, which services reduce it, and what we would look at on a site survey for that specific problem.

Three ways in

Problem, service or building

Three routes through this site, all ending in the same place. If you know what is going wrong, start here. If you know what you want fitting, the list is on all commercial services. If the building type shapes the answer — a dispensary designed to a licence condition, a dealership lot with no perimeter, a warehouse that fights every camera you mount in it — start from all industries.

Every figure on these pages carries its source, its period, whether it is a count or an estimate, and the date we retrieved it. Where a number does not exist — and for several of these problems it genuinely does not — the page says so instead of borrowing one from a vendor. Several also state plainly that the crime they describe is falling, because that is what our own cited sources report. The statistics are set out in full in our guides.

San Diego CCTV Pros holds CSLB #976737 — a C-7 low voltage contractor's licence — and BSIS ACO #7501, an Alarm Company Operator licence. Every use case below is solved with equipment those two cover.

Two things they do not stretch to, and both come up on these pages. Fire alarm needs a C-10 or a C-16 and we hold neither. A person on site needs a Private Patrol Operator licence, which is held by Guardian Integrated Security, Inc. — the company this brand is a DBA of, so it is the same firm's other licence and not an outside referral. Commercial premises only, though managed residential property is in scope.

Start with a site survey

We walk the building, put the findings in writing, and scope the work against what we actually find. No obligation, and no quote written from a floor plan.
